Attendance

Raider Expectations. (You want a guaranteed raid spot.)

Tanks : 200 toughness....and enough hit to keep aggro.
DPS : 3200dps (Yes, even on movement fights.) Also, 320 hit/focu.
Heals : 1600sp, 850sc
Support : 320 hit/focus.

Raid Schedule:
Wed/Thurs/Tues 6pm - 9pm ST  These are under discussion per our reorganization

optional 10 man on Sunday night

1. Show up. If you are not consistent, that’s an insult to the other raiders who were counting on you to show up when you said you would. It is also counterproductive to our goals of raiding.

2. Be prepared. We post videos of all new fights. Watch and sign then. There are vials. Get them made or donate mats so that we can make them and hand them out. Whichever works better for you. Blatantly being too lazy to boost your performance is lame.

3. Get good at your role. Raids have only so many spots for each role. If the role you play is full, prove that you deserve a spot over someone else playing that role. Asking one of them to go to an alternate spec just so you can attend is unfair. *At the same time, be versatile; learn how to skillfully play more than a single role.

4. Don’t make excuses. The raid leaders say things in an effort to guide the raid toward a win. Nothing is personal, and unless you are called out specifically the issue discussed was likely addressed to your entire role group or even the whole raid.

5. Also don’t have an attitude problem. As stated above, 99.999% of the time, it’s business. Back talking or getting defensive only frustrates the rest of the raid, and makes you look juvenile. If you don’t want to be talked to like a child, don’t act like one.

6. During raids, when in a boss’s “zone” only the raid leaders (aka the officer group) should be talking or calling things out. Your ideas and opinions are welcome, *at the right time and place* which is generally not in the middle of a raid and over mumble. Before or after a raid, in whisper, or mumble, or the forums, that is generally the most appropriate time. Banter and fun during trash is perfectly fine, but if chatting morphs into such goofing off that we wipe on trash, it will be requested that everyone shush and focus.

** If points 4, 5, and 6 become a repeated problem that player will be globally muted on mumble. Yes, you will still be required to listen so that no directions are missed.

7. This is a group effort. Mutual respect and full effort are two of the most vital things you can bring to a raid. Without each of us bringing these, we are condemning ourselves.

8. In the grand scheme of things, we are there to have fun. Killing bosses is fun. Yes, tempers sometimes get involved, but everyone needs to do their best to remember that we all chose to show up, and wanted to play together.

9. Personal responsibility. Meaning, you need to be able to dictate your play time and subscription continuation. We understand that some players are perfectly capable but reside with parents. There is nothing wrong with this and in absolutely no way do we encourage children of any age to defy their parents to play. That being said, if consistent raid attendance is prevented due to parental wishes, we may keep you at member instead of raider, and allow you to raid when there is a spot open and you are able to fill it.

In the unhappy event that someone refuses to follow these policies, that person will be subject to a private discussion with one or more officers about their behavior. They will then have a chance to correct what is needed. Further instances of the same kind may result in raid removal, and/or ban from raiding for a week, and/or up to guild removal.

Any sort of ninjaing from pug groups, if it should be brought to us and proven, will result in guild removal. No exceptions.

Loot Council

Loot is distributed in 20 man raids via loot council.  The following subjects are used to determine who receives loot.  They are considered in the order written.

1. Attitude:  it is vital that all members of Caffeine understand that their attitude plays a huge role in raid success.  Please give the raid the attention and respect it, and the other raiders present, deserve.

2. Consistency:  We only raid 3 nights per week, and so ask that you attend all 3 raids.  We understand that life happens but simply planning a movie night out every week is not ok.  As a member of Caffeine you are obliged to be dependable.  If you are unable to make a raid, there is an absence forum for that.

3. Skill:  There is more to skill than topping the meters.  Always trying to improve, regardless of your role, meter numbers, or anything else is a part of skill.  Standing in fire requires a negative amount of skill, and dramatically decreases any accrued skill.

4. Need:  Do not mistake need and to-lazy-to-craft-an-upgrade.

5. Number of items already gotten.

**Any complaining about unfairness can be brought to Aam or Rex after the raid.  If we find your complaint valid, we will offer an apology and do our best not to repeat the circumstances.  If we find your complaint to be childish,  we'll tell you so.  Bluntly.**

Attendance

Because we only raid 3 days per week, we require a high level of attendance.  As a raider, you are expected to maintain at least 80% attendance.  You must continue to earn your spot.  We can and will replace anyone who fails to attend consistently.

We assume you are going to attend, therefore no signup is needed. You must post in Absence forum why you'll be gone if you're gone.

Recruits:  less than 80% attendance during your trial period will earn you removal from the guild.

These policies are guidelines. They can be followed to the letter or leniently. It is the guild attitude and community effort as a whole that determines this. They are also subject to change at the collective decision of the guild leadership.  Last updated 12.29.11
